Maintains DHAMAN’s clinical equipment through the effective use of the Medical Equipment Management Plan. Performs a variety of tasks associated with the installation, preventive maintenance, calibration and repair of biomedical equipment with minimal supervision. Supports Clinical engineer in performing Quality & Safety tests to minimise health risks associated with medical equipment to patients and staff. Obtain feedback about medical devices’ functionality and areas of improvements from equipment users in the Hospitals and Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs). Duties And Responsibilities Inspect, maintain, adjust, calibrate, and repair a wide variety of electronic, electromechanical, and hydraulic equipment, to include patient monitors, defibrillators, medical imaging equipment (X-rays, CT scanners, and ultrasound equipment), voice-controlled operating tables, electric wheelchairs, as well as other sophisticated dental, optometric, and ophthalmic equipment. Perform routine scheduled maintenance to ensure that all equipment is in good working order. Perform safety checks and train practitioners to safely operate equipment. Disassembles equipment to locate causes of malfunctions or inaccuracies. Repairs or replaces defective parts. Reassembles equipment and adjusts precision components. Notifies manufacturers or distributors of uncorrectable equipment malfunctions to arrange for repair. Keeps extensive records of equipment checks, both for maintenance and repair. Maintains inventories and records supplies and parts. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
