Job Responsibilities: Safety - Investigate and resolve safety, health environmental problems - Ensure that the safety tools requirements are available and the operation environment is safe. - Abiding by the safety & environmental policies of the company - Promoting safety values among the his production team(s) - Finding ways of making the work environment safer - Ensuring that everyone in the team(s) is aware of safe working practices associated with their jobs - Ensuring that safety problems are tackled and solved by team(s) in an effective manner - Following up on conducting safety audits and ensuring that the outcome of the audits is positive or otherwise actions are taken Quality - Reviewing and monitoring the packaging & raw materials requirements and availability against the production plans. - Identify and ensure improvement to internal logistics. - Operate, and adjust the plant equipment and system utilized within the work area to improve quality output. - Responsible to produce quality products by applying quality standards. - Co-ordinate QA and QC systems and procedures. - Follow up the quality of products and be sure it is compatible with quality policy of the company and specifications. Production - Responsible for securing the sales coverage and achieving the production plans. - Responsible for issuing the machine time analysis reports in daily, weekly. monthly bases - Responsible for the packaging & Raw materials yield. - Facilitator of TPM implementation. - Follow up the production process and operation ,control the R.M which we need it inside the production operation, implement the production plan and solving problems which concern with production or production staff - Agreeing quality standards with the QA team after checking the process capability of generating such standards - Ensuring that all quality systems are in place to ensure the production of products that are in line with Unilever quality standards - Managing quality improvement projects - Handling customer complaints related to defective products generated from his area and taking corrective actions Cost - Reducing the wastage of R,M, reducing the quality defect of the product - Setting department budget with commercial department - Controlling production department spending within budget constraints - Promoting cost saving projects in his department - Optimizing labor and machine utilization in his department - Reviewing periodic wastage and stock take reports to ensure that wastage figures are within set acceptable norms Delivery - Responsible for managing the utilization and improve the output of the production lines. - Control the time to implement the required plan and overcome the obstacles to resist any delay - Setting and agreeing yearly performance targets with upper management - Reviewing performance trends covering safety, quality, productivity, utilization, cost, etc.. for the whole department on periodic basis Initiating corrective actions whenever needed to enable the department to meet its set targets Morale - Responsible in developing , managing supervisors / operators and implement the required Job description - Responsible of managing structural and cultural change - Motivating and rewarding the staff - Abiding by the work code/system of the organization - Understanding their staff development needs and creating appropriate training plans - Following up and assessing individuals’ performance and providing coaching whenever necessary - Maintaining high morale within the team(s) by mature use of recognition systems - Encouraging improvement initiatives among the team(s) - Carry out training of operators towards TPM
