Job description

    - We are looking to hire 3 Van Drivers who will operate a gurney van equipped to provide non emergency transport of mobility- impaired individuals to and from hospitals, convalescent facilities, private homes, dialysis units, doctor’s offices, rehabilitation centers, etc. in a safe and timely manner.
    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
    - Picks up patients at home or other facility. Provides the assistance required to safely board patients and caregivers.
    - Operates Stryker gurney as needed for safe and comfortable patient transportation.
    - On arrival at medical facility, assists patients in exiting the van and reaching the proper offices or treatment areas.
    - Checks the van to ensure that no personal items are left behind.
    - Provides first-aid or CPR if required during patient transport. Immediately notifies emergency staff and dispatcher if skilled assistance is required.
    - Completes reports at the end of a shift.
    - Immediately reports traffic accidents to dispatcher, requesting police or ambulance service as needed. Assists injured persons from first-aid kit until these services arrive. Completes company accident reports.
    - Checks all equipment for future readiness, maintains van in operable condition, ensures van cleanliness and orderliness
    of equipment and supplies, decontaminates vehicle interior after each transport.
    - Completes a thorough vehicle maintenance inspection prior to vehicle operation.
    - Maintains positive behaviors, attitudes and commitments to interpersonal service in regard to customer, visitors, and coworkers.
    - Performs related duties as assigned by management, supervisor, or dispatch.
