Job description
-
Configure, develop, and deliver MS Dynamics NAV software and components in all
functional areas
Develop or modify pages, reports, tables, or custom logic in C/AL, AL, and Extensions
Coordinate and execute application upgrades of Dynamics NAV to Business Central
Create new and modify existing customizations and integrations as requested by the
business
Perform data conversions, debug system problems, and craft resolutions
Provide ongoing support to customers including following-up on tickets with appropriate
urgency
Provide pre-go-live and post-go-live end-user support
Work with the Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Consultants to understand the
business/application requirements of the assigned task
Creation of technical documentation for all customizations and integrations
Any other tasks as reasonably required
Test functionality developed by the development team against business requirements
Installation and implementation of service packs and hotfixes as needed, if needed
Technical liaison to business groups for application support, if needed
Coordinate and contribute to end-user training including documentation and training
materials, if needed
Job requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology,
or another related field required
Minimum 6 months of experience in Dynamics 365 Business Central and/or NAV
development, (Otherwise) ERP Knowledge is a must
Dot Net experience is a must, Otherwise a minimum of 6 months of experience in NAV
Solid understanding of Financial/Inventory/Manufacturing, functional areas (MRP/MPS
planning, subcontracting, job queue, prod. Orders processing) is a must when there
is no experience in NAV or ERP
Experience building extensions and performing upgrades to Dynamics 365 BC is
preferred
Experience with C/AL and AL programming is preferred
Experience with Microsoft SQL SSRS .NET, C#, GitHub, DevOps, and Azure platform
support are preferred
C/SIDE languages experience is preferred
Reporting integration experience with Power BI is a plus
Writing T-SQL queries to pull reports is a plus
Writing reports using C/AL, AL, SSRS, and Visual Studio Code
Willingness to constantly update oneself on new software and market conditions
Strong technical aptitude
Customer Oriented, Flexible, Attention to Details and Deadline-Oriented individual
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
