Job description

    Locate vendors, and contact them in order to determine product availability and terms of sales. Evaluate vendors 39 pre qualifications and approve any update in the vendors 39 database Maintain procurement records, documents and databases in hard copies and computerized systems Review and evaluate quotations 40 technically commercially 41 for fair comparisons Represent the company in negotiating best prices and terms with suppliers and sub contractors Review purchase orders and contracts for the conformance to company 39 s policies Consider the benefits to the company in awarding project items to the best bidders Follow up the suppliers and maintain records of goods ordered and received Follow up the progress and performance of subcontractors from project managers Resolve Project Managers 39 grievances, and claims against suppliers and sub contractors Prepare reports and documents for the review and approval of the General Manage.Participate in preparing procurement schedules for all projects Control procurement budgets to achieve or exceed the estimated revenues Participate in developing specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in procurement Analyze local and international markets to assess present and future material availability cost Research develop new sources from around the globe to cut cost, improve quality and delivery
