ECC was established in 2001, with the idea of building a world-class data center. The purpose behind this venture was to capture the higher end of the value chain in the Information Technology. It was designed and built to provide a range of integrated, scalable Data Outsourcing, professional services and application management services that can be deployed in a cost-effective and rapid manner.
ECC started to offer services to the market in the last quarter of 2001. Currently, ECC provides IT outsourcing services including Turn-Key business and alternate site recovery Solutions, focusing on enhanced management services that allow it to meet the expanding set of customer needs as Data Applications become more complex.
Boasting state-of-the-art technology, ECC provides the ISO 27001 certified physical environment necessary to ensure a businesses' presence 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. World-class facilities are only part of the equation as ECC combines its around-the-clock systems management with onsite personnel, experts trained in the areas of networking, Internet, and systems management.
The data center was built using Hewlett Packard (HP) technology. With strong commitment from ECC major Shareholders (National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC), Egyptian Company for Networks (EgyNet) and Commercial International Investment Company (CIIC)) and an allocated investment of US$ 25 million for the deployment of the first phase of the project, ECC compares favorably to other data centers in the Middle East and Africa by specializing in deploying and managing dedicated, mission critical IT applications.
