Job description

     Install, configure, maintain, update and monitor: Windows Server 2012, Active Directory, Office 365, File Server, Hyper-V, WSUS, WDS, MDT, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, UTMs, Firewall, Antivirus, Backup, Routers, Switches, internet connectivity
     Provide daily help-desk support and first level troubleshooting and problem solving for software (Windows, Office, browsers, readers, utilities, etc.), hardware and networking infrastructure to resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction
     Provide technical support to onsite and remote users.
     Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to incidents and requests
     Install, test and configure new Windows 10/7 workstations, peripheral equipment and software
     Perform timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required
     Maintain up-to-date inventory of all equipment, software and software licenses
     Manage and monitor backups
     Identify ways to improve the quality of the service provided and/or the efficiency of the processes within the IT help desk
     Liaise with vendor support on all issues
     Escalate calls to Supervisor/IT Manager upon determination that problem exceeds level of experience

Job requirements

     Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
     A minimum of 4 years of relevant technical experience
     Hands on experience with as many of: Windows Server 2012 R2, WSUS, WDS, MDT, SCCM, Windows 10/7, Microsoft Office 365, HP Servers, Cyberoam/Sophos UTM, Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business, Veritas BackupExec, Cisco/HP/Linksys switches, routers and firewalls, Printers, Scanners, Copiers, Using Helpdesk software
     Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA): Windows Server 2012 is preferred
     Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing and Switching is a plus
     Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE): Server Infrastructure is a big plus
     Strong client-facing and communication skills
     Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills
     Customer service orientation
