Job description

    Support Senior Advisor, HR, and Total Rewards in the annual remuneration review including provision of annual salary data.
    Provide the HR/Payroll interface, implementing temporary and permanent remuneration changes.
    Work closely with Finance to ensure the payroll is managed correctly and compliance is assured in all areas.
    Supervise the input of all payroll components associated with the Plant Site employees.
    Review site staff monthly overtime with respect to the relevant policies.
    Revise time sheets and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
    Update payroll data with any organizational changes.
    Compute salaries , deductions and special recognitions, verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments.
    Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases.

    Remuneration and Benefits
    Ensures effective administration of benefit plans by liaising with employees and benefit providers. Provides benefit information and responds to employee queries as required.
    Administers the Employee Share Purchase Plan, liaising with employees, Solium and Vancouver, regarding contribution changes and withdrawals and communication matters.
    Administers all Employee Benefits programs and plans ( i.e. Medical, Life, Disability & Retirement Plans) in liaising with employees, service provider, Finance and other stakeholders with effective and timely reporting of same

    Policies & Procedures
    Keep up-to-date with current local Human Resource legislation, practices and trends and provision of timely information and recommendations to site supervisors on same.
    Accountable for effective communication and dialogue regarding HR matters with the organization is developed through regular contact with employees and by attending department meetings as appropriate.
    Contributes to the HR related projects are undertaken as required by the SA, HR. Act as HR representative on cross-functional teams as required.
    Ensures that HR policies and procedures are adequately communicated to all employees and advice and guidance regarding interpretation and application is provided

    Take charge of PeopleSoft operation and maintenance of Total Rewards interface.
    Contributes to the provision of accurate employee information through maintenance of HRIS data.
    Extract timely reports, analyze data and trends for management decisions.

    General Administration
    Provides support to the Senior Advisor, HR, Total Rewards as needed.

    Provides first point of contact to provide advice and guidance to Damietta employees, as appropriate, regarding company Total Rewards policies and procedures.

    Maintains the long service award program.

    Responsible for ensuring awareness of all controlled documents relating to this position.

    A bachelors of Business ( Preferred major is Accounting or Human Resources)
    A Human Resources Diploma will be an asset.
    Knowledge of current HR and employment law related issues context.
    Intermediate to a higher level of PC & Microsoft skills.
